In the mid 19th Century Drogheda was the last major centre for the survival of the Irish harp tradition.

Continuing the celebration of the 7 AGES OF IRISH MUSIC IN DROGHEDA the renowned Irish harpist SYLVIA CRAWFORD will be giving hands-on classes for beginners in Medieval Irish metal-strung harp as part of the DROGHEDA ARTS FESTIVAL Traditional Day in Millmount on Sun 3 May 2015.

These classes are intended for total beginners of all ages who might like to try out this extraordinary instrument.

Classes run from 2:30 to 3:15 and 4:00 to 4:45 and will cost only €10 per person. Booking is essential as there are only a limited number of instruments. Phone 041-9833097
