Please spread the word to family, neighbours and friends - Drogheda Museum Millmount is offering families who wish to visit the museum and tower at Millmount a special rate for families (2 adults and up to three children) on the next three Saturdays in February 14th, 21st & 28th for just €6.

As you know the Museum houses a wide variety of artefacts of local and national importance. Chief amongst the attractions is the unique collection of Guild and Trade Banners. This collection is recognised by Ireland's National Museum as being of special significance and includes the only remaining guild banners in Ireland.

Popular exhibits at the Millmount Museum include an authentic 18th century Irish folk kitchen, dairy and laundry, and the telephone exhibition including Drogheda's first exchange, The Industrial exhibition showcasing former industries in the town such as brewing, distilling, shoemaking etc. There is also a World War One exhibition showing Drogheda's involvement in the conflict.

The tower offers a great overview of the town and inside there is a weaponry exhibition and War of Independence and Civil War exhibition.

The museum Saturday opening hours are 10am to 5.30 pm with the last guided tour at 4.30 pm and at just €6 for a family is really good value.
