A Cooley Ramble: Archaeological and Folklife Features in the Grange Irish Area

Event: 'A Cooley Ramble: Archaeological and Folklife Features in the Grange Irish area'.
 
Date: Saturday 23rd August
 
Time: 10:30 a.m. 
 
Tour Leader: Paul Gosling.
 
Activities: Visits will be made to the following features in the Grange Irish area: Ringfort and Annexe; Threshing stone; Lime Kiln; Ruined house and outbuildings; Court tomb; Bee boles; other folklife features, and a view of Barnavave.
 
Assembly point:  Bush (Junction of R173 and R175).
 
Prepare: Suitable footwear is advised. Intending participants are recommended to bring a flask and food pack for a picnic lunch.
 
Host: County Louth Archaeological and Historical Society.
